SPRING SERIES

  • Saturday, May 1: Spring Series Race 1
    (also Commodore's Challenge)
  • Saturday, May 22: Spring Series Race 2
  • Saturday, June 5: Spring Series Race 3

SUMMER SERIES

  • Saturday, July 31: Summer Series Race 1
  • Saturday, August 14: Summer Series Race 2
  • Saturday, August 28: Summer Series Race 3

FALL SERIES

  • Sunday, September 12: Fall Series Race 1
  • Sunday, September 19: Fall Series Race 2
  • Sunday, October 10: Fall Series Race 3
Race format for the cup is the best 7 of 9 races. All races start at 2:00 PM with a 1:00 PM skippers meeting, unless otherwise announced.

Overnight and Evening Sails

May 29th Overnight at Shep's Hollow.
Hors d'ouvres night.
July 17th Overnight Clapboard Hollow. Gentleman's race, no points to be awarded.
August 7th Overnight at Shep's Hollow. Hamburger night.
August 21st Overnight: Pirate theme.
September 25th Evening/night sail.
October 2nd Overnight, weather permitting, Shep's Hollow. Chili/Gumbo night.

Other events

  • Sunday, May 9: Bonus Race*
  • Wednesday Evening Social Regattas – Wednesdays 6 PM departing from the State Park Marina from May through September.
  • Celebration of Summer at Claytor Lake State Park (Saturday, June 12, 2010) – We will have a booth and be offering free sailboat rides.
  • June 13th – Afternoon sail and water polo.
  • Learn to Sail – We are happy to help new members learn to sail. Contact Shep Zedaker.
*Old Salty Skippers crew on boats that don't typically race with us, in order to get more people involved in the races.
